Through the Weight
The world feels heavy, a relentless tide,
Each step I take, no place to hide.
Grief in my shadow, life in my way,
Battling both, day after day.
The mornings come, cold and gray,
Another reminder they're far away.
The silence is loud, the emptiness deep,
I wear my sorrow where no one can see.
The hands meant to hold are now a void,
The laughter and love that time destroyed.
And here I stand, with burdens to bear,
Alone in the storm, gasping for air.
But deep within, a flicker remains,
A stubborn light through the aches and pains.
I whisper to shadows, "I will survive,"
For even alone, I must strive.
So I rise again, though the weight is strong,
With grief in my heart, I still carry on.
Each day is a battle, each breath a fight,
But I’ll keep walking, through shadow and light.
