We are excited to announce that Friendsplace International now has its own Progressive Web App (PWA)! This means you can easily access our platform through an app-like experience, without having to download a separate app from the app store.

What is a Progressive Web App (PWA)?

A PWA is a combination of a traditional website and a mobile app. It offers users a fast and seamless experience with features such as offline access, push notifications, and a layout that adapts to different screen sizes. With a PWA, you get the functionality of an app while keeping the flexibility of a website. It’s the best of both worlds!

How to Install the Friendsplace International PWA?

Installing our PWA is easy:

1. Visit Friendsplaceinternational.com on your Android, Apple, Windows or Linux system.
2. Click on the "Add to Home Screen" option in your browser (usually found in the menu with three dots in the upper-right corner).
3. Confirm the installation, and the PWA will appear as an app icon on your home screen.
4. Open the PWA by tapping the icon, and you can use Friendsplace International just like a native app.

Limitations and Feedback

Currently, we have only been able to test the PWA on Android and Linux, which means we don't have experience with installation on Apple and Windows devices yet. We’d love to hear from you if you try the PWA on other platforms. Feedback, suggestions, and comments are more than welcome, so we can continue improving and optimizing the app for all users.
